What If It Works?

You know what we don’t talk about enough?

The fear of success.

Sometimes, the scariest thing isn’t failing—it’s realizing that the thing you’ve been praying for, working toward, and dreaming about… might actually work. That it might take off. That God might open the doors. That the yes you gave might lead to something big.

And with that comes the weight: more responsibility, more eyes on you, more stretching and growth.

Lately, I’ve been feeling the tension of that. Not because I want to shrink back, but because I know what’s at stake—and I want to steward this season well. I’m not stepping away from fundraising or the mission. If anything, I’m more committed than ever. But I’m also learning to face the fear of what happens when things move forward, not just if.

Because the truth is: we don’t get to ask God to move and then run when He does.

We don’t get to pray for impact and then panic when things start changing.

So I’m leaning in. I’m choosing boldness over comfort. I’m trusting that God is leading this, so He will sustain it. And I just want to say thank you—for being part of it. Your prayers, support, and encouragement mean more than you know as I continue preparing for the mission field in Japan.

And if you’re reading this with a dream in your heart—something you know God has whispered to you—this is your encouragement: don’t run from it. Don’t hide from what could be just because it might stretch you. Lean in. Say yes. And trust that He’ll meet you every step of the way.

Let’s keep believing together: what if it works?
