2025 Year-End Recap: A Year of God’s Faithfulness, Preparation, and Promise

As I look back over 2025, I am overwhelmed by the faithfulness of God. What began as a year of transition, planning, and preparation has led to doors being opened, prayers being answered, and a clear path forward as I prepare to move to Japan full-time in just a few short weeks.

This year stretched me, challenged me, prepared me, and reminded me again and again that God goes before us. He works in the waiting, guides us in the unknown, and brings everything together in His perfect timing. And through every moment of this year, He used people like you to speak encouragement, provide support, and help build the foundation for what’s ahead.

I’m grateful to share just a few of the ways God has moved in 2025.

A Year of Preparation and Saying Yes Again and Again

Japan has been a deep burden on my heart for many years. It is a nation rich in culture, honor, and beauty, but it remains one of the most spiritually unreached countries in the world. Less than one percent of the population identifies as Christian. For many Japanese people, the message of Jesus is something they have never encountered personally.

This year has been a year of saying yes to God again and again.
Yes to preparing.
Yes to trusting.
Yes to being stretched.
Yes to taking steps of faith even when the next step felt daunting.

Throughout 2025, I have continued building my support team, completed vital paperwork and visa requirements, shared my story with churches and individuals, grown spiritually and emotionally, and prepared for the ministry ahead. Every detail, every conversation, and every prayer has played a part in equipping me for this next chapter.

Celebrating What God Is Doing in Japan Right Now

One of the greatest sources of encouragement this year has been watching God move through Paz Church Japan. Even from the United States, I have seen the ministry grow, reach new people, and expand into new areas of influence.

Some highlights from 2025 include:

• Launch of the new Tokyo East campus
• Vibrant Sundays at the Noborito campus
• Increased community connection across all locations
• More young adults, families, and newcomers stepping into church life
• Testimonies of people encountering Jesus for the first time

These updates remind me that God is already working powerfully in Japan, and He is preparing a place for me within that story.

Provision Through Prayer and Partnership

One of the greatest blessings of 2025 has been the people God has placed in my life. Supporters, prayer partners, friends, family, churches, and generous individuals have invested in this mission and have said, “I want to be part of reaching Japan.”

Because of your faithfulness and generosity, I am currently around 40 to 45 percent funded in ongoing monthly support. This support represents sacrifice, encouragement, and belief in what God is doing in Japan. I am truly grateful for each person who has given, prayed, encouraged, and walked with me throughout this year.

Looking Ahead: A New Chapter Begins in 2026

As we step into a new year, I am filled with expectation and gratitude. January 2026 will be a landmark moment as I move to Japan to begin full-time missions.

In this next year, I will be focusing on:

• Beginning full-time Japanese language school
• Serving at the Tokyo East campus
• Building relationships in my new community
• Engaging in evangelism, discipleship, and outreach
• Supporting church planting through Paz Japan
• Growing in every area of life and ministry

So much is ahead, and every step is covered in God’s faithful preparation.

Thank You for Being Part of This Story

As 2025 comes to a close, I want to simply say thank you.
Thank you for praying.
Thank you for supporting.
Thank you for encouraging.
Thank you for being part of my sending family.

Your partnership helps bring the Gospel to one of the most unreached nations in the world. You are helping create opportunities for people to hear about Jesus, to find hope, and to discover that they are not alone. You are helping build something eternal.

I am deeply grateful for you, and I cannot wait to share all that God will do in the year ahead.

With love and gratitude,

Nicole Kalowick
